Thanks be to God for His guiding you back into the Church.Hey I’m new to the boards, I too have been practicing for a while too and I want to return to the church, I need some help. any recommendations to start?
From True Devotion to Mary,**52. ** God has established only one enmity - but it is an irreconcilable one - which will last and even go on increasing to the end of time. That enmity is between Mary, his worthy Mother, and the devil, between the children and the servants of the Blessed Virgin and the children and followers of Lucifer.
Come Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your well beloved spouse. Come Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your well beloved spouse. Come Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your well beloved spouse. Thus the most fearful enemy that God has set up against the devil is Mary, his holy Mother. From the time of the earthly paradise, although she existed then only in his mind, he gave her such a hatred for his accursed enemy, such ingenuity in exposing the wickedness of the ancient serprent and **such power to defeat, overthrow and crush this proud rebel that Satan fears her not only more than angels and men but in a certain sense more than God himself. ** This does not mean that the anger, hatred and power of God are not infinitely greater than the Blessed Virgin’s, since her attributes are limited. It simply means that Satan, being so proud, suffers infinitely more in being vanquished and punished by a lowly and humble servant of God, for her humility humiliates him more than the power of God. **Moreover, God has given Mary such great power over the evil spirits that, as they have often been forced unwillingly to admit through the lips of possessed persons, they fear one of her pleadings for a soul more than the prayers of all the saints, and one of her threats more than all their other torments. **
Being a Latina and having been surrounded by the Santeria/Voodoo culture my whole life I would start by burning any of the objects related to your previous involvement in Voodoo, speak to a priest about this and see if you can set up a time for him to come to your home to have it blessed.Hey I’m new to the boards, I too have been practicing for a while too and I want to return to the church, I need some help. any recommendations to start?
I just want to mention that although this ‘brother’ does often have some good advice since he was very involved in this sort of thing…he is not a religious “brother” of any approved religious order, but is a divorced man with children. He had no bishop’s approval for his the “order” he ‘founded’ and has almost no education or relgious and theological training of any kind. Yet he has set himself up as an ‘expert’ in this area. The advice in the quoted section below is from Bro. Ignatius Mary over on the St. Pio Center for Deliverance Counseling. I highly recommend in addition to following the steps below, visiting the “help” section of his site and following the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance.

As far as the altar itself goes, I don’t know the answer to that, so I suggest visiting either the Q&A forum, or joining the Spiritual Warfare forum over on
saint-mike.org/spcdc/forums.asp
and Bro. Ignatius will answer your question directly.
Without getting into other things that are wrong with it, it is worshipping the creation and not the Creator. Very simple.Wiccan religion is simply worshipping Nature. What’s wrong with that?
You need to check your facts before slinging mud.I just want to mention that although this ‘brother’ does often have some good advice since he was very involved in this sort of thing…he is not a religious “brother” of any approved religious order, but is a divorced man with children. Anyone can set themselves up on the net and call themselves a religious brother…and anyone can ‘apply’ for approval to the vatican…but he must first be under the direction of his local ordinary…be careful out there…this man is good on some things but very much in error on others.
He is a very reliable source - loyal to the Pope and Magisterium, and very knowledgeable.so brother ignatius is a reliable source? by the way what do you mean he’s familiar with the occult, did he used to be a practicioner too?
I do not mean to be slinging mud, but to make people aware that there are many sites on the web making false claims and so it is wise to be wary. In fact I would say that as a moderator of his forum your own opinion may be biased. You need to check your facts before slinging mud.
Brother Ignatius is professed under private vows with the Order of the Legion of Saint Michael. The creation of this order is within the bounds of Canon Law and the order received an Apostolic Blessing from Pope John Paul II. (For those who need to see these documents for themselves, they are available on this page.)
May I remind you that every order that has ever existed was started without official recognition. For some orders, it took 400 years to receive this recognition.
Yes, Brother was married, and has grown children, and he also received an annullment when he went through RCIA. Your problem with that is. . .? You imply in your message that he was not free to take religious vows.
Your allegation that he has no education in theology is also false. He holds a Master’s degree in Theology. With nearly three decades of experience in deliverance ministry, he is well qualified to teach and counsel on spiritual warfare.
I am not sure on what teachings you claim he is “very much in error,” but in one post you yourself are very much in error as you rashly judge and calumniate a consecrated religious person.
