TM didn’t “orchestrate” it; he said that he supported the guy who did throw them in the Tiber.

Yawn. Does TM playing a role erase the idolatry?

I’ve linked to Church Militant a few times on here. I don’t regret posting those links.

Oh no, the horror! How dare two faithful Catholics take out idolatrous trash from one God’s houses [/s]

Pope Francis is awesome and we are extraordinarily lucky to live under his pontifical leadership

yes and it is very sad that people feel like this about the Pope. actually, anyone can feel how they want, emotions arent always sinful, but that they go as far as to criticize and hate him and reject him in spirit. I love Francis, Benedict, John, the other John, Paul, and so on. we are in a very lucky time to have so many holy and good popes right after another, yet people dont take the gift and instead reject him in spirit.

Yawn. What “idolatry”? Pope Francis specifically explained in great detail that there was no “idolotry”. I see that only in the fevered imaginations of sedevacantists, schismatics and “benevacantists”. In short, only those who already hate Pope Francis. Sorry, but one can’t hate Pope Francis and still call oneself Catholic.

What is this?
(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

Pope Francis after seeing this dispensed with his prepared remarks and prayed a spontaneous Our Father, and then left. I think he is a good Pope but this is very confusing.

Could you enlighten me on what a false dilemma is?
It’s making a black white distinction where none exists. But that is not the case here, as there is a valid black white distinction. If you hate Pope Francis, you are not Catholic. There is no middle ground.

Explained, or explained away? Do you consider this veneration of an icon? Why didn’t the ancient Christians venerate Ceres and Freyja, I wonder.

God bless you for giving them the benefit of the doubt. I hope you’re right, but it seems obviously superstitious to me.

filial criticism
Sorry, I don’t buy the “filial criticism” stuff any more, as it inevitably devolves into downright hate-mongering.

And it’s funny that Traditionalists would encourage “filial criticism”, when they pine for a time that “filial criticism” of even the parish priest would not have been tolerated, never mind the Pope. That’s pretty hypocritical.
