This is something I do not pretend to be an expert in, but, I fail to see how telling people to stay at home is bad for the environment.
 
Umm…Maybe the Washington Examiner is a scam?

Ask the airlines if their carbon footprint is growing or shrinking. Check at a gas station if they are selling as much gasoline.

Working from home was always a way to greenhouse gases, and it will probably increase now that people have been forced to try it.

Of course, “anti-pandemic rules” will have some impacts on climate change. Losing 10% of the population, like Italy, will certainly impact climate change more than if everyone follows the rules and we only lose .05% of the population, like Germany.
