Is anyone else fed up with all the Viagra and Cialis commercials? Not only are they on at inappropriate times like dinner and family hours. But they are so lustful that they sicken me.

I know ED can be a serious problem if you’re diabetic or paralyzed. But all the commercials make it seem like most American men are impotent. How do you men feel about this point?

Those commercials as well as many others (birth control pill, Victoria Secret, etc) just point out the cultural morass we are currently in. These commercials are repetitively drummed into the TV watchers head and eventually the average American is desensitized to this garbage. However, at this point I’m more concerned with some of the actual TV shows that are anchored by the commercials. Temptation Island, Amish in the city, For Love or Money - the list goes on for the devil’s playground!

One of the things that irritates me most about one of those commercials (I think it’s for cialis), is the woman in the commercial refers to the man as “my man” every time. Can’t they at least say “my husband”, or is that not politically correct? Would that somehow offend people who are having sex outside of marriage and need “assistance”. I’m waiting for the viagra/cialis commercial featuring 2 gay men. You know it’s probably in the works, just waiting for more states to allow “gay marriage.” Ironically, that one would probably use the term “husband.”

Our society has lost all of it’s faith and values, and most of us haven’t even noticed, like frogs being slowly boiled to death.

I’m pushing 60 pretty hard, and I freely admit that my married life, after 36 years, is not similar to what it was in the beginning. Unlike the people in those disgusting commercials, I mean that in more ways than one. The premise in these commercials, the lie they would have the people buy, is that if one aspect of the marriage is chemically assisted, then everything will be hunky dory.

I am most thankful to God for the grace He has infused into our marriage. Love grows in a marriage, and there’s more to that than the physical aspect. The lie is that if the physical aspect is not the same as it was when you were in your 20’s, something is wrong. That’s a crock!

I could think of nothing more insulting to my wife than to go see a doctor and start taking these designer drugs. Think of the message it sends to a woman: All there is after all these years is the physical, I’m on drugs, and I want you. DISGUSTING.

Blessings,

Gerry

Since I do not have my TV hooked up to calbe, antennea or a satellite, I listen to the radio. The radio, especially AM Radio has these commericals too. If I hear one more commerical of Enzyte-‘for male enhancement’ (or however it is spelled), I am gonna scream! :bigyikes:
During the talk shows, the sports broadcasts, ANYTIME 24/7.
I heard one Christian talk show host say that, “He has NO controll what commericals are played on the staions which syndicate his show on.”
I wish I could remember what talk show host said this.
At times it make me just want to rid myself of ALL electric media, and the newspapers are bad enough too!

go with God!

I think the most obnoxious one is Levitra where the guy throws a football through a hanging tire swing.
