It speaks of the celebrations of the Triduum and names the chants involved, including the ones during the Vigil.

I thought Good Friday was the only time where we didn’t have communion!!

I was also confused but here is what I found out. On Thursday, we celebrate the Lord’s Last Supper as a mass, like always. On Friday we observe the stations of the cross and/or the Passion of Christ. Instead of having mass we observe Jesus dying on the cross, and have the bread which is still his body (consecrated with the wine from the day before). It is hard to think about, but that is part of the Paschal Mystery.
