Can A 67 and 70 year old live as brother and sister take communion?

The very statement ‘living as brother and sister’ is a complete contradiction of ‘is it a sin?’ of course it isn’t a sin. It says in the Bible specifically that if you live as brother and sister it’s not a sin.

Other options are a civil marriage unrecognized by the Church or the OP is wondering if it is a sin to not have sex with your spouse.

Are they married?
I think they can’t be, or the question would be pointless.
If they were it would be a relevant question. For example, if they were divorced and remarried without an annulment.

I first met this man 5 years ago recovering from prostate surgery, I said our ages because of health reasons and we can help each other as we grow older. We are not married, I don’t see the point, it is not a husband and wife situation. We sleep in seperate rooms. I was told by a preist As long as we are cohabitating I can Not a take communion…

Have you or this man been married to anyone else who is still alive? If so, the Church is still going to probably see your living together as sinful because they see you as still married to the previous spouse.

But even in those situations if a couple is living as brother and sister they are generally allowed to receive?
I was told by a preist As long as we are cohabitating I can Not a take communion…
Your priest may be worried about scandal, in which case he may permit private reception of Holy Communion.

I’m not sure if a priest would buy the “we’re not having sex” argument in a context where people are still married to others but have an emotional bond between them, even if they aren’t having sex or physically can’t.

Speak to your pastor. He is the priest with the authority, granted by your Bishop, to handle these matters. They are officially called “pastoral decisions”. Lay all the cards on the table, be honest with your pastor.

There are many deeply personal questions that need to be discussed with your pastor, the reasons your friend has not requested the Tribunal review his marriage, if there is an impediment to valid marriage because of permanent impotency because of the prostate surgery, these are not discussions for a public internet forum.
