Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church

Has anyone pre-ordered it? What is it’s purpose? (Something left out of the Catechism or a further explination?) Excited about it?

In my understanding, the Compendium is simply a shorter, more concise, easily read Catechism. Something like an aid for the Catechism.
