Good morning to all. I am planing to take two months next year to do the St Jacques Compostelle trek between France and Spain. This long walk seems a very good way to get back to the simple things in life and a wonderful way to deepen my spirituality. Did anyone here went to this pilgramage, what are yor impressions on it.

I’ve never done it but have been intrigued for a long time by the idea of making the pilgrimmage.

I’ve done the last day of the walk (17 mi). I’d like to return one day and at least complete the Spanish portion of the trail.

Even after only 17 mi, the feeling is awesome when the city comes in sight, and it’s an awesome way of getting our PHYSICAL BODIES into the life of faith. More people should attempt it. Too much of our faith life is lived above the shoulders, IMO.
