And “compatibility in bed” is a myth. Forget about it. If you’re compatible in the rest of your lives, you’ll do just fine in that part of your marriage too.
This is so true. I mean, if you take a man and a woman, it isn’t hard to work out how to do that part of your relationship right. In fact, working out what works for each other in that department can be one of the most rewarding and intimate experiences you can have. And it only gets better with time and practice.

Compatibility in general is a myth. No two people will be 100% compatible all the time.

I’m so glad you have preserved the integrity of your body the way God willed it to be.

Our faith compels us to be counter cultural in a gentle charitable way. The preservation of your virginity is a beautiful message for other women thirsting for leadership of self respect and others.

God bless

After writing them down, I know these thoughts are irrational. No woman worth my time would turn me down because of my religious beliefs
Aye, laddie, you’ve figured it out all on your own. I support you, and so would my wife. We waited until we were married before any coupling took place. My question in your case would be, who at work would ever even know? It’s not something she or I ever brought up with anyone outside of ourselves. Stay strong, be true to yourself and your beliefs. Care nothing for what anyone else might think. Blessings, and I’ll pray for you at Mass today. I’ll be there in just over an hour.

You answered your own question by saying your thoughts are irrational. First of all, no one needs to know that you are a virgin. It’s nobody’s business, but don’t be embarrassed or ashamed by this fact. You should be exceedingly proud of this noble trait. Your concern that in dating a sexually active woman and not having sex with her, you might be missing out on a “life partner” is illogical. This would show a great lack of respect for the woman and yourself by causing both of you to sin. Do you really think that sinning will lead you to happy marriage with a “life partner”. I can almost see a good angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other both whispering in your ear. Stop listening to that nasty little devil who is causing you to doubt your faith and your conviction to be chaste until marriage. You know what is good and true and beautiful in the eyes of God. Do that and be proud and strong. Be a good and noble man. There are so few in this world. Be honorable and exceptional!

Oh…if one is engaging in unwed sex, they need to speak to the priest in confession and to a spiritual director in confidence.

Keep up the struggle to be live holy purity, wherever this leads you. Ask Our Lady for help everyday. You will be fine.
God bless you.

I had a friend that was a grandma and she told me one day how the family was so excited that her grandson was finally getting married. 36 years old, found his life partner. I asked how she felt about being a great grandmother and her reply floored me. She said they they are never going to have children together because between the 2 of them they have 7 children by different partners.
Just let that sink in.

Honor God with your singleness, with your dating, with your married life. There are no regrets with God.

You would like to find the love of your life and be married one day. Today is the day you honor her, by not sleeping around. Today is the day you pray for her, that she make good choices, that she also is honoring God. Imagine on your wedding day that you can tell your wife that you loved her long before you even met her, you prayed for her, that you honored her with your dating. That is the man you are called to be. That is the witness that you can give to the women you date. Let them see what a man of God looks like. Let them see in you how God loves them.

Have confidence in God. When I read your post I thought of Peter how he got out of the boat when Jesus called him, but then he looked at the wind and the waves and was afraid. He began to sink. Those parables aren’t just stories, it’s our lives being lived today. Tell our Lord to strengthen your resolve to follow Him. You don’t need to be afraid of those things. It’s the lies that satan whispers. They aren’t true. He will lead people to crash and burn, have regrets. You don’t have to go that route. God has something amazing for you.
