Hi ,
I am interested to know if anyone has seen the book Heralds of the Second Coming by Angelico Press. The author seems to imply that the spiritual millennium as proposed by Fr Joseph Iannuzzi falls into the category of mitigated millenarianism which was ruled out by Pius XII in 1944. The implication in this new book is that Fatima’s prophecies and the eschatological messages given to St Faustina refer to the end of the world and the restoration to come as foretold in acts Ch 3 rather than a temporal era of peace within history. Matt Abbott at renewamerica has the rather apocalyptic Foreword to the book by Cardinal Ivan Dias who is in the conclave now. It certainly seems the popes are seriously concerned at what is developing. renewamerica.com/columns/abbott/130222

‘Mitigated millernarianism’ is something which one can find in the writings of many of the early church fathers. ‘Restoration’ was spoken of by the prophets of the OT, St Peter and by St. Paul.

God’s peace be with you
