Concerning Sinful Thoughts

It’s frequently asked whether one has sinned through their sexual thoughts, but I have a question that I can’t find an answer to. Obviously, harboring violent and angry thoughts towards another is sinful, but what about violent “fantasies”? I’m not speaking of any kind of hatred, ultra violence, or malice, but simply having fantasies about doing stuff someone like an action hero or a soldier would do. Would that be sinful?
 
Intent has a lot to do with the sinfulness of anger.

That said…I would consider violent fantasy to be “near occasion” of sin. It harbors and encourages thoughts, responses and actions that may not properly promote the Kingdom of God.
