Confessing veniel sins

In Confession, Do you indefferincate (sp?) between Mortal and veniel sins or do you just throw them all together and just say them? If you distingish between the two, what would you tell the preist to let him know that this is Mortal and this is veinil? Thanks and God Bless.

By God’s grace I haven’t had to confess mortals sins for some time but the last time I simply went through all the sins I could remember. Although I said them in order of mortal to venial I didn’t highlight mortal or venial. To me the mortal was the most important and I said them first as I didn’t want to forget any. Better I forget a venial than a mortal sin.

I am the same. I list them all usually the most serious first ending with the less serious.

Ha ha I actually go least serious to most serious, as I spend the time speaking about the circumstances of the more serious or ones that trouble me how to avoid in the future - so I get the easy stuff out of the way.
