Our FSSP pastor hears Confessions before AND right after Mass. The lines are always long.

I was in a parish where the single priest heard confession after Mass. I hated it as I felt it was better if it was before Mass. However, it is a stimulus to avoid mortal sins. I know that he could and would hear confession if you approached him but it was always rather difficult.Good Morning everyone,
I am looking at the Mass scheduled for today. It seems the priest has confession AFTER Mass…why?
Unfortunately I need to go to Confession BEFORE I can take Communion so I sent him an email. He hasn’t gotten back with me so I don’t know if I should call, I so hate being a pest. It’s my fault I committed a sin I need forgiven BEFORE Mass but it seems backwards to me.
Wouldn’t it be better to have Confession BEFORE Mass?
I’m confused.
Where I attend Mass now, confession is usually available during Mass but not during the consecration of course.

Well I learned a lot tonight. When the mass started they had a "different’ priest and I started to get all panicked. I had a very “embarrassing” mortal sin to confess and I was thinking that I would just leave and “deal with it later”.
Then I remember Fr Serpa on here saying that we shouldn’t delay but just get to it and confess our sins. So even though I wanted to just up and leave I sat through Mass did NOT take communion and prayed that Confession was really going to be offered. I was very miserable. I HATE having sin in my life and I always want to confess it ASAP.
Sure enough, there was adoration and during that time the confessional was open. I went in and guess what? All that worry was for naught. They had a beautiful screened wall that I just kneeled behind and made my confession. The priest was WONDERFUL…very affirming, loving, and I really felt better when I left! I was FORGIVEN! I was so glad I went. I’m really glad I didn’t let the stupid Devil talk me out of that beautiful sacrament. And I want to thank Fr Serpa for that advice, it ended up really helping me too!!
