Confession and receiving communion

Hello,

If I go to confession before the Holy Thursday mass starts, and after the confession didn’t carry out my penance right away because I didn’t have time or because I planned to carry out my penance the next day morning (Good Friday), can I still receive communion during the Holy Thursday mass (given that I didn’t yet carry out the penance that was assigned to me after the confession)?

You may receive since you are (assuming the confession was valid) in the state of grace
 
Absolution is effective immediately and is not dependent on the performance of any penance.
