ROMANS 10: 9,10
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
Work with me - EVEN IF baptism wasn’t necessary and maintenance of your Christian life wasn’t necessary (with good works and stuff), Catholics would still fit the bill of “being saved” wouldn’t they? Think of it: a Catholic makes their confession of belief every single Sunday mass of ordinary time with the apostles creed. Even if all that was necessary is laid out in these two verses, Protestants have no business trying to “save” Catholics, as Catholics seem to be “saved” already, even just following these two verses.
Does that make sense? Prots are always trying to get Catholics to believe and confess their belief, when they’re already doing it every single Sunday.
It was just a thought. Maybe it’s a thought worthy enough for Catholics to use to discuss with their non Cath friends who think the whole Bible can be summed up in the book of Romans.
