Is it possible for a baptized person who has not been accepted into the Church, yet is planning on it (ie already in RCIA), to go to confession and receive absolution?
Not only is it possible for a baptized person in the RCIA to go to confession, he or she is obliged to do so sometime before receiving first Holy Communion and Confirmation. However, it will first be necessary for the person to be taught about the sacrament of Penance and the manner of receiving it.
