You can speak about your own confession. But why should you? Your sins are forgiven; leave the matter in the confessional.OK, great news everybody, I was able to go To The Confession! But now I have a new dilema! but before I can say what that is I have to know somethign first.
So here it goes!
I know it is wrong for A Holy Priest to speak about someone’s Confession. but can someone speak about Their Confession?
There’s nothing wrong with confessing a temptation, especially if it’s one that you are easily subject to. If it worries you, confess it in the next confession, but don’t worry about the last confession. As for masking a sin, my advice is always to be just as blunt and direct as possible. It’s that, I disquised or “masked” a ‘sin’. So it wouldn’t seem that bad.
So i would be guilty of withholding information during my confession right?
BUT!
Now that I think about it, what I was confessing seemed to be a temptation not a sin.
So I think I “lied” about my temptation, not sin. But during my confession I think i thought of it as a sin.
Any help?![]()
No. That confession was OK. I know that sometimes in confession it’s hard to just say what’s on your mind, but in the end it is the easiest.hmm… I don’t think you understand. I think that the sin isn’t in confessing the temptation. but in trying to mask it, and make it look less bad, less of a “sin” i guess.
But I realize that what I Was Confessing was (probably) a temptation, not a sin.
When I Was Confessing this “sin” (which I now think was a temptation, not a sin) I thought of it as a sin. Am I guilty of lying In Confession?![]()
You’re obviously concerned about it, so the solution is just to mention this in your next confession. (i.e. “at my last confession I didn’t confess this because I was embarrassed and I wasn’t sure if it was a sin or a temptation:” then just briefly state the matter. )It is kind of hard to explain but. I’ll try.
I thought of it as a sin. (when really it was a temptation)
I confessed it, but held back a detail because I was ashamed, and embarrassed.
I think that detail would have changed the nature of that “sin”
But since it was a temptation, which doesn’t need to be confessed, should I worry about it?
It’s that I percieved it to be a sin, only afterwards did I realize it was a temptation.
Part of it has to do with out I percieved it then.
**If **it was a sin, Would I be quilty of lying and witholding essential details?
