Greetings!

I have a quick question:

I went to the confession last week to confess my Mortal Sin (Lust/Pleasure), then the priest absolve me from my sins and then after 6 days of no more mortal sins, i fell again in the same mortal sin…

Should i go to confession again, because i fell down again in my same mortal sin or should i wait for another 1 month to go back to confession?

It’s so hard to be the slave of lust,
I cant let go of it,
It keeps me go back from where i fell.

Any advice?

If you’ve committed a mortal sin, you should go to confession as soon as possible.

I would add…don’t say can’t …with God all things are possible.Tell yourself ‘I can’ .And keep trying 🙂
God bless.

The sad reality is that most sins are habitual - as St Paul puts it: “I do not do the thing I want to do, instead I do the thing I don’t want to do… Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!”

The sacrament of reconciliation probably won’t make you problems disappear overnight but the sacramental grace we receive builds on our human nature helping us to overcome sin - something which we can’t do without God’s help.

So as often as you fall into sin, as soon as you can, go to confession and keep going back. - Don’t wait, just go; it doesn’t matter if you’re back there every week - thanks be to God for a sinner who knows his need of the Lord’s mercy

I don’t know what your prayer life is, but perhaps you can increase it.

There is always the Rosary and the Chaplet of Mercy. One can pray with youtube rosaries and chaplets to get started.
