When I go to confession for the first time, will I just be confessing things I have done since I have been baptized by the priest or everything in my life?

I have never been baptized before so this will be my first baptism.

I’m assuming you’re in RCIA and will be baptized at the Easter Vigil. Baptism removes all the sins you’ve committed. So when you go to confession the first time after your baptism you’ll focus on what you’ve done since your baptism.

Yes, I start RCIA on the 16th. Thank you.

mglv08,

As was said above, baptism does forgive all sins committed before baptism, but as an adult you must still have sorrow for the mortal sins you have committed in order to receive such forgiveness.

Ask your RCIA instructor about contrition and *attrition, *about mortal sins, and how they all relate to the sacrament of baptism.
