What was the best confessor you ever had and why?
Mine was a priest who is now in Heaven and who gave me once a general absolution and helped me with his advice to make peace with God. Thanks to him I spent an hour in heaven (not that the confession would have lasted that long) and was one of the most beautiful and happy moments of my life.

I’ve only had two confessors, and they’ve both been equally good for me at where I am at in my spirtual life. Granted, the one I have right now, I would have never thought would have been my confessor, let alone a good one. The first time I went to confession, we got into a full blown argument. I thought maybe he was just having a bad day, so I gave him another chance. Nope. That’s just how he is. I brought it to my other confessor who was preparing to leave, and he reprimanded me for complaining about him and told me to pray for him every time I go to confession. It has worked very well and It has been very spiritually beneficial for me. He’s stubborn and likes to push me out of my comfort zone.

Probably my favorite is Father Gene, who was someone I could always talk with, and he always gave good advice and assigned good prayer-penances.
