I forget the saint that offered a special prayer to Holy Spirit - She prayed that the Holy Spirit consume her entirely and whatever resisted to be consumed in her to be consumed ever the more!

So may think this is presumption, yet it seems more having confidence and trust in God, which still requires to seek His mercy as we go forth on His path and we need to continue to prayer for the gift to remain and persevere in Him.
