So I have recently been confirmed. My confirmation name is Germaine. Anyways, the Catholic church has meant so much to me these past few years and I’ve really grown to see it as a part of who I am, a part that I am very proud of. My friends and I were talking about maybe putting our confirmation names on our Letterman jackets. I actually really like this idea but I don’t know if I am even allowed to do that so I’m hoping someone could help. If I do get it on my Letterman it would most likely be written on a cross or the christian fish.

Please help, the order date is coming up soon and I really want to get it but don’t want to be disrespectful in any way.

The permission would be from your school or athletics department.

Some people legally add their “Saint’s Name” to their records, some people do not even choose a Confirmation Saint, it is purely a cultural/small “t” tradition.

Myself, as a parent, I would think this is a cool thing for my kid to want to do. Of course, while wearing that jacket, be aware that you are an example of the Faith to everyone. Make sure your words and actions are of charity, respect, love 🙂
