Confirmation Name Used instead of Given Name?

I’m in the process of considering joining diaconate formation. The deacons in our church go by “Deacon First Name” - basically use their given name. In my case, I’d like to use my confirmation name - so I’d be “Deacon Anthony”. Is that a problem? My reason is not that I want to avoid my first name. The reason is that I really like the idea that people get new names to go by when confirmed.

I figure I’ll learn this somewhere along the next 5 years, but I’m curious.

I should imagine you shall have ample opportunity to discuss this issue with your superiors during the formation process.
