Can Blessed Mary be a confirmation saint? I would love to have her name, but I’m afraid that it is less than humble. What are your thoughts? (sorry if this is the wrong thread.
 
I think Mary is the most popular confirmation name for girls. When I was confirmed over half the girls had Mary as their conformation name. You cannot go wrong with Mary.

Sure, why not? Mary was good enough for Jesus. She is good enough for you.

Also, Saint Kolbe’s full name is St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe. So male saints even like using Mary’s name.

My confirmation name is Joseph after Mary’s husband.

Are you being confirmed this Easter?
 
My confirmation name is Virginia, which honors both our blessed mother and my earthly mother as well.
 
When I was confirmed the name I chose was Mary. It was after Our Beloved Saivors Mother.

It’s a good name to choose. If you’d like to choose it by all means do.

At the time of my Confirmation I was presented a Scapular and I was enrolled. You might want to talk to your Priest about this.

Since our Parish is over an hour away from the Dioces. It was such a thrill to have the Bishop come up for our Confirmations. (we don’t see a Bishop much in our neck of the woods) and he also enrolled me.

At the time I was a child, but I’ve never forgotten the honor at having the Bishop there at our Church.
