I’m trying to decide on my confirmation name and I’ve narrowed it down to four names. These names are Cecilia, Martha, Rose, or Veronica. Which one would be best?
God Bless y’all,
Jessica:thumbsup:

No one knows except you and your Guardian Angel.

St. Cecilia is the Patron Saint of Music. She died by martyrdom for preaching the Gospel to a crowd of 400 Romans during the 2nd century. She heard heavenly music when she was killed. (She was put into a sauna, and the heat was turned up to the highest level, because the Emperor said she was very beautiful, and he didn’t want to mar her skin.)

St. Martha was the sister of St. Lazarus and the St. Mary who poured the jar of ointment over Jesus’ hair and feet. She died in France of old age, after a long period of preaching the Gospel to the rural people of France.

St. Rose of Lima is known for her extremely severe penances (lying on a bed of broken glass, wearing spiky metal clothing, etc.), and her miracles. She is the first Saint of the Americas.

St. Veronica held her veil to Jesus’ face to comfort him, while he was walking to Calvary. The imprint of His face remains on the veil even until now.

Well, the thing is, right after my baptism I have my first holy communion, and right after my first holy communion I’m having my confirmation, so yeah…

If they are all equal to you, and you don’t have a preference, then just pick one. All of them are holy virgins, and all of them will be glad to be your friend. 🙂

I’m thinking about Rose, Martha, or Cecilia now that I think about it. I’ll have to do some research!👍

Pray about it! Ask the saint who was meant to be your patron saint to pick you! Also, that way you won’t have any cognitive dissonance about your choice later on…😉

Thank-you and God Bless You and Everyone!
God Bless You,
