Hello all, I go to an Indult parish served by the FSSP and I had a question that was brought up in another thread. Anyways, before Communion of the faithful but after the priest has recieved Communion the two alter servers (if Low Mass) or the Deacon and Subdeacon (if High Mass) recite the Confiteor. After they finish the priest makes a 90 degree turn to his right and gives absolution which everyone then makes the sign of the cross.
My question is was this still done in the 1962 missal? If it was, my Angelus Press missal does not show it in the texts of the Canon of Mass.
Dominus vobiscum
