Conflict on a confession question (follow up)

So, after getting a few answers on my old question, another point was brought up. I am unsure of this now, so I have ot ask:

If one commits a mortal sin, but wishes to confess to one Priest over another, is it permissible to wait a week (not taking Communion, of course) until the preferred priest is doing confession? This is not a regular occurance, of course. Or would this be considered another mortal sin?
 
Just to add, some say that if you are in mortal sin “run to a Priest and make an appointment”. While I can see this true in cases of murder, mortal sin is more common than some may think. If I was to run to a Priest everytime I took the Lord’s name in vain, the Priest would shut the door on me!

What are the differences from one mortal sin to the other? Do they have different consequences?

It would not be another sin, but might not be a very good thing to do, you never know what might happen in the mean time.
