Maybe I have been ignorant, but I thought back in October it was released that men who have same sex attraction could be ordained as long as they did not have deep-seated homosexual tendicies and could prove that they were chaste for 3 years prior to ordination. Now I’m hearing that the offical Vatican document has been released and that it states that men who have same sex attraction, regardless if they have ever acted on these feelings or not or how faint these feelings may be, cannot be ordained. Help, what is the offical stance? I’m not trying to start a debate, I just want to know.
