Do you think sometimes God let us fall in sin to get us closer to Him?

Why do you think there are people who go Mass every sunday and pray a lot but they still live in sin or believe or practice things contrary to the faith?

Does God will that we sin? no.
Can God bring good out of the evil of the sin that we can only blame ourselves for? Yes.

Perhaps they prefer to live in delusion to their sin and do not want to realize the gravity of their actions.

Or…they go to confession and have their sins forgiven.
We have no way of knowing who is aware of the gravity of their sins or not. No need to speculate on that.

Sometimes “through our most grevious fault” God does the most for us and for those around us.

Question 2: Lack of a lively interior life with God, and good reception of the Sacraments.

Perhaps they prefer to live in delusion to their sin and do not want to realize the gravity of their actions.
It is also possible that that sin has become compulsory, and they have trouble avoiding it.

The things they do may indeed be contrary to “the” faith, but not contrary to “their” faith. People are very complex. They are multi-faceted. They may believe a lot of what the Church puts forth, but not all of it. Of course there are always those people who do the wrong thing, knowing it is the wrong thing. They may be sorry afterwards, or they may not be for whatever reason.

We need to be careful not to judge the quality of someone else’s faith. We are all on a journey. Some are further than others. Some believe where others aren’t able to. I wouldn’t worry too much about this, really.

But hat’s exactly my question, why there are people who go to Mass and pray frequently but they still believe things like ‘homosexuality is normal’, ‘sex before marriage is ok’, all religions are the same’, etc?
