Alright i went to confession about a month ago and i have realized that maybe I was not specific enough about certain sins and that i for got a couple of mortal sins.
Say i committed a sin and did it in a way that is also illegal, do i have to confess the illegal way or just say I illegally…?
So what do i do?

I think forgetting ones sins while in the confessional booth happens more often than we think. I’ve walked out of confession a couple of times and forgot to mention something that I had planned to. So I wouldn’t kill yourself over it, there is always next week, right?🙂

You could IMO leave that to the priest. If he feels its important to know all the details he would likely ask. But if in your own concious you think you need to confess the “illegal way”, than by all means do it. The illegal way could in and of itself be sinful, on top of the act your confessing…

yeah but do i bring up that in my last confession i should have been more detailed and say i did… or should i just ignore it?
also i was thinking maybe a general confession might be the easier thing to do.

so opinions please

You can bring it up to the priest if you like. Tell him that during my last confession I failed to mention something and I’d like to clarify it. There is no harm in doing that.

As for a general confession, I think your past that point. From your post, it sounds as though you’ve been to confession a few times now. The whole idea of frequent confession is to get better at it. Once you get the major sins out of the way, you can be free to look more deeply at your life and start recognising the smaller sins that you probably overlooked before. You start to become more scrupulous of your life and go over the deeper things in your conciouse. It will make you a better person

Don’t sweat the details so much. It’s not easy to do a perfect confession, but God knows whats in your heart…
