Those don’t deny the general judgement.
I never said it did.

Those who die are judged immediately. They don’t wait to be judged till the final judgement at the end of the world… At death, one receives their reward or punishment. They won’t be judged again. Purgatory is temporary, and anyone who requires purgatory is going to heaven anyway.

The final judgement, is for all those people alive at the end of the world, & all the bodies who have ever lived and died, are resurrected at that time, and reunited to their souls. Keep in mind, All those souls were already judged at the time of their death and are either in heaven or hell. They aren’t judged again at the final judgement. All those souls have been in either heaven or hell since they died, and now they are being reunited with their resurrected bodies, in either heaven or hell… forever.

**1039 **In the presence of Christ, who is Truth itself, the truth of each man’s relationship with God will be laid bare. The Last Judgment will reveal even to its furthest consequences the good each person has done or failed to do during his earthly life: (bolding mine)
It doesn’t change the status of one who has already been judged after they die. 1022 1023 & 1051 . If one is in heaven or one is in hell, it won’t be reversed at the last judgement.

Re: The resurrection of the dead, since The soul doesn’t sleep, nor die,. It’s the body that dies, and the body that is resurrected. The soul is either in hell or heaven, and is reunited to the body. 1042

1039 This passage that you select does not negate what is posted above . Note particularly 1023 where it says “before they take up their bodies again and before the general judgment - and this since the Ascension of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into heaven - have been, are, and will be in heaven, in the heavenly Kingdom and celestial paradise with Christ,” (emphasis mine)

That’s because those souls have already been judged when the body died.
