Hi everyone, I haven’t been on for quite a while. But I was thinking maybe some of you can help me.

I just had an amazing pilgrimage to Italy and Medjugorje. The thing of it is, of course everyone wants to hear all about it and I have no words. No one specific miraculous thing or experience happened; everything was sort of woven together, and I can’t explain it. I never have been good at talking or explaining things, and I don’t really like being in the center of attention either. But it’s so weird. I’d think that I would be overflowing with things to tell people, but I really don’t want to talk about it. Words just don’t work for me so well. Shouldn’t I be dying to tell everyone everything?

Dear Friend

No not necessarily. What took place for you was the subtle working of the Holy Spirit and was worked in grace for your soul. If you want to tell them anything, tell them that if they want to know what it is like, go there themselves, then they will see what you cannot express in words. That’s a powerful statement on it’s own.

I’m thinking you may have already done this, but remember to thank God that you were able to make such a pilgrimage and for the graces He has granted you.

God Bless you and much love and peace to you

Teresa

And it may take awhile for the significance and the experience to really sink in! Don’t worry - your loved ones will understand.

Remember the Pentecost.

Jesus rose from the dead, spent 40 days with his apostles and disciples, then ascended into heaven.

And yet they still hid in a room, afraid to speak, not having a clue as what to say or how to say it.

Imagine. Physically experiencing the Risen Lord like that and not being able to shout at the top of your lungs how wonderful that was?!

No. They couldn’t because it wasn’t time and because it was not their news to share. It was God’s.

When He was ready He sent the Spirit to work through them.

So will He through you. You can’t find the words, because if there are any to share they won’t be yours. Just keep reflecting on your experience there and affirming to the Lord and Mary our Mother that you are ready and willing to serve them in any capacity they choose for you and in their time. They may have chosen their message to be share through your life, your actions, and not your words. So focus on staying in tune with their wish for you.

Thank you all very, very much. Each of you said something I needed to hear.

(I really do wish that everyone who asks me could go, too. But being in high school, it’s just not possible, for most of the people who ask me about it. My aunt and uncle took me with them, otherwise I never would have been able to go.)

One last thing, remember that Mary, “pondered all these things in her heart”. She didn’t do a lot of talking about the things that God revealed to her but her life spoke volumes about them. As you ponder the things that you saw and realized about God then they will take root in your life and that is what the “shouting it from the roof-tops” is really about 😉
God bless you, I will keep you in my prayers!

Oh, I didn’t mean to close out any other help! Thank you very much, also. I do have lots of problems living from day to day, so this means a lot to me. Thanks for reminding me that *living *is more important than telling.
