Confusing question

Ok, this may be a little confusing, but bear with me please.

I went to confession a few weeks back, and confessed making a bad confession previously. But at the time, I didn’t think of saying the number of times I committed sacrilege by receiving sacraments.
Soon after, I did confess those sins I missed the first time, but I knowingly left out that I went to communion since I made that last confession, because I didn’t know if it was wrong or not. Now I feel bad for having left it out, but I don’t think it would be right to go to confession again for something that I don’t even know was a sin.

I guess my question is:
Would it be wrong to continue to go to communion if in your last confession, you did not think to specify the number of times you received the sacraments after a bad confession?

You’re right, that IS a little confusing. However, let me take a stab at it. I, personally, would be inclined to confess it, as you now know that it was sinful behavior.

Can you go to communion in the mean time? Yes, I think that’s acceptable, since in order for your sin to be a mortal one, you must have full awareness of it, as you are committing the sin. That doesn’t sound like that was the case for you. But, just to be on the safe side…get to confession as soon as you can.

I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.

A perfect time and place to ask these kinds of questions is DURING confession and let the God thru the priest guide you.

If you did not intentionally leave off the number of times, don’t worry about it. Just try and remember the proper form for Confession next time.
