The HEART SYMBOL is the traditional symbol of Romantic Love, But it seems that there’s hardly a symbol to express Non Romantic Love on the Internet such as the Love which Jesus asked us to show when he uttered LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF! Because priests might consider the HEART SYMBOL somewhat offensive to themselves when it is posted by lay people to them online. Am I right or wrong ?

Yes, it is. It’s not a romantic heart. You click on the heart when you like or agree with someone’s post.

Similar to the Like symbol on Facebook. It doesn’t mean you “like” what the person posted, it means you acknowledge what they posted.

Heart symbol to me just means “like this very much”.
I primarily use it constantly on pictures of people’s pet cats, dogs, rabbits etc.
Obviously I am not in romantic love with someone’s animal.

I use it to express agreement or approval, particularly when I don’t have enough to say to justify posting a reply. The “like” is sufficient by itself.

Yep! And often I’ll like the post because it says exactly what I want to say.

This is the response I got from the Missiobot USA, when I clicked the heart symbol, because the machine or robot misunderstood that I clicked it in a ROMANTIC SENSE! 🤔🤩

😊 Aww…Schucks…you’re gonna make MISSIO blush. Tap the menu below to continue this love fest 👇

What makes you think they thought you meant anything in a romantic way?
