Confusion and questions

I seem to have this block that is hindering my interest in Catholicism. It all seems so confusing and overwhelming to get into. Christened at birth but went to a baptist school so never practiced Catholicism. Enjoy going to the Catholic Church on Sunday’s but don’t go to confession, pray the rosary or have been confirmed or know much about it in general. Idk where to start or what is blocking my interest into diving deeper. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Learning about Catholicism can be daunting. There’s 2000 years of history. There are lots of deep thinkers. It’s more than anyone can absorb in a few months or years.

So don’t try to learn everything at once. Is there one topic you’d like to know more about? Why not ask your question and see what kind of answers you get. People will sometimes give a direct answer and other times will suggest something to read.

Explore the first topic, then explore another one.

Sounds like you may be young - and you say you were never confirmed. I would guess that your catechesis was not the best? Are your parents catholic? Maybe you can talk with your priest and he can set you up with faith formation or RCIA, depending on how your parish handles this. Faith requires practice - you’re not going to learn to play the piano if you only practice 50 minutes a week. I would imagine attending a baptist school has also led to your block. Baptist school probably has created the block. I’m 28 but meeting with a religious educator from a Catholic Church soon. Parents weren’t practicing Catholics. One was catholic then they got married in the church then Idk what happened…long story
