Connection?

I would like to know if there is conncetion between creation of world in six days and 2 Peter 3,8 (But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord, as a thousand years, and thousand years as a one day. I don’t dare to say there is connection, because I haven’t heard official opinion of church, but I really would like to know it. Thank you very much. “Nech vás žehná Boh.”

The two passages reflect the use of language to convey an idea without needing to be taken literally. Genesis tells us that God created EVERYTHING and seems to say that He did this in a specific order. 2nd Peter tells us that God is not limited by time, and that God’s time is God’s time.

A Catholic may hold that God created the world in six, twentyfour, hour days. One may also hold that He created the world in six thousand years.
