I would really like to find out where I could purchase some 8-10mm Connemara marble beads so as to make my own Rosary. I have never made a Rosary but want to give it a shot. I am also looking for something interesting to use as the Our Father beads.

Can anyone direct me in the right place for supplies? I am looking to make one that is not “chain linked” but I don’t know what type of wire to use. I will post a link that shows what I am going for.

One more note. It does not have to be Connemara marble. I am just looking for a heavy bead that is not glass.

What is the rule of thumb in regards to how many beads are in a strand? Like is there a standard number depending on the size? I a looking at 6mm and 8mm.

a 16 inch strand should hold about 67 6mm beads or 50 8mm beads if they’re round. if they’re different shapes, they could have more or less.

here’s a list with the estimates. 😃

That is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much.

I have looked at so many beads on the internet over the last day that my eyes are starting to cross:whacky:
