I know that consecration to Our Lady is a big thing. Consecration to St Joseph also exists and approved by the Church. Is it possible to consecrate yourself to any other Saint? Or does it only extend to Our Lady and St Joseph? What about St John the Baptist? He was born without original sin… herald of the Lord… his nativity is celebrated as a solemnity… and traditionally he was depicted on Our Lord’s Left in glory (with Our Lady on His right). Just curious.

As I just posted on another thread, there’s an established Consecration to the Holy Angels. It’s also traditional to consecrate oneself to St Michael and/or one’s Guardian Angel.

I suppose one could consecrate oneself to any saint one wishes, with the understanding that it’s a serious commitment so you wouldn’t just consecrate yourself to 10 different saints.
