I read somewhere about the consequences (on society) of artificial birth control stated by a pope from, I presume, this century.

I think this is a fairly well known document with a Latin title.

Can someone link me to this info?

*Humane Vitae *is what I thought of as well. Good to read it in its entirety, but if you’d like to jump right to what you’re looking for, start at section 17.
  1. Upright men can even better convince themselves of the solid grounds on which the teaching of the Church in this field is based, if they care to reflect upon the consequences of methods of artificial birth control. Let them consider, first of all, how wide and easy a road would thus be opened up towards conjugal infidelity and the general lowering of morality…

Thanks folks-

Somehow, I remember it being more specific to the U.S. Maybe it was not from the pope, but from a bishop.

Mark,

If you read Humanea Vitae it will seem very much as if it was directed at the U.S. - abortion, divorce, promiscuity etc.
