I find it interesting how the majority opinion just doesn’t matter in this case to some people.
Even if you take abortion, most people would say “I wouldn’t have one”
But the minorities are starting wake the sleeping giant majority of sensible people.

What you mean (at least how it seems to me) is that same sex “marriage” is being shoved down our throats by a vociferous minority bent on making us all accept homosexual relations as perfectly normal, which they decidedly are not.

I can’t agree with him here. Same sex marriage cannot be voted into existence by any majority, American or otherwise. It is not and never will be marriage, and no body of human beings can declare it so by vote, declaration, or fiat.

You have a good point. Even if same-sex marriage is eventually made legal in every state of the country, it still will never and can never be a sacramental marriage. Something can be popular and legal but still be morally wrong - witness the tragedy of abortion.
