Hi everyone. I have been considering Atheism as of late. I have been spending time on a popular Atheist/Non-Theist message board and it has me pretty much convinced that God does not exist. I still believe though. But I am feeling that maybe it is blind faith anymore. Please pray for me.

Hi everyone. I have chosen ultimately to reject Atheism. Atheism makes a number of false claims such as the idea that Jesus never existed when we know even by non-Christian sources that He did exist. Also, I am convinced that God does exist. I mean, the universe simply cannot be uncaused. It’s impossible. But anyway, please continue to pray for me that I’d be able to withstand such doubts in the future.

Sing the Gloria and recite the I believe under these situations…u’ll know wat to believe…what u cant comprehend forget it… u just can’t understand certain things… Just believe God is truth and so is Catholicism…Atheism jus a tool to get away from God…no matter what ever explanation science may give they are just explanations…Y should sun give out heat…bcoz there is a nuclear fusion happening…yeah that’s just an explanation… Without a creator none of these things can happen…nd the creator is the Holy Trinity and the proof to their existence is JESUS…nd u believe he exists…so just blindly say i believe…nd u r following truth…the very fact u r a christian means GOD is there nd he is JESUS…bcoz after someone dying on the wretched cross in that age no one will follow him…but we are following Jesus…showing the divinity in the death on the Cross…fight your thoughts and believe… soon u can guide others who are troubled this way…without going thru this u can never help someone suffering this…consider urself blessed…make sure u have tat state of blessedness by being faithful to Jesus…

Have you discussed this problem with your spiritual director? If it is a temptation for you, the Church teaches us to avoid them, so maybe it would be a good idea not to visit these sites anymore. 🙂

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen. *

If you are still unsure you could take a look at the lives of some Saints, or look up some miracles like Guadeloupe or the Miracle of Lanciano

Our Father Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come
Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us of our trespasses, as we forgive thouse who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
AMEN

Praying that you’ll persevere in your Catholic faith despite your doubts.

Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory be…

Amen.

My best advise for anyone who struggles with doubts is to at least remain open minded in the face of those doubts.

When doubts lead to skepticism and cynicism that is a larger concerns

Even the Apostles doubted post-resurrection and at the Ascension.

Dont fear your doubts. It’s part of being human.

Just dont Close your mind off to God when you have them…

Always keep your mind Open To God.

Prayers.

*Holly…I’ll be praying for you. I know you’ve been struggling with this for a little while…and many people have questions about the faith. It is natural to question sometimes…but know that Christ died for you…I know you believe that. I have read other posts of yours, and I have always sensed the Holy Spirit working in your life. Please don’t give in to this temptation. There will always be message boards, groups, etc that give ‘‘convincing’’ arguments against one thing or another…but, you ARE a child of God…please keep praying and maybe stay off of those boards for a while, and see what God speaks to your heart. As long as you are dabbling with those sites, you will be tempted more and more. You’re in my prayers. *

Ask your spiritual advisor if you should be reading material and web sites that are contrary to the Faith.

We pray father that you will reveal yourself to Holly in a mighty and powerful way. We pray that you would help her to feel your infinite love and be certain of your presence. We pray that she will choose faith, even though there are doubts. Father, give her comfort and the peace that passes understanding through Christ, our Lord.

Praying that your faith may be increased through Jesus Christ …
