I do not know if this is the proper forum, but what is the appropriate wording for informal invitations being send to family and close friends.

i.e., You are invited to join us as we are married by the Catholic Church on…

or

Please join us as for the blessing of our marriage in the Catholic Church

or

as we receive the Sacrament of Marriage.

Thank you as I have been struggling with this for some time.

You marry each other. It is a marriage within the context of the church but you are not married by it.
Please join us as for the blessing of our marriage in the Catholic Church
This sounds like you’ve been living with each other for eleven years or so and are only now asking to have the marriage blessed.
as we receive the Sacrament of Marriage.
Again, you are performing the sacrament with each other in the presence of witnesses.

Why don’t you just issue a traiditional (in a cultural sense) invitation? You can say “n and n will be joined in holy matrimony” or something like that if you want to go in that direction. But you are marrying each other by your vows.

I should have given more details. We were married civilly approximately 15 years ago. We recently were granted annulments. Please help me with a simple wording for family and close friends to be present at our marriage. Thank you.

You want to stay away from a lot of the cultural trappings attending weddings in our society, and keep it very simple, and also limited to family and very close friends, in other words the people that already know you and the background of your situation. Phone or hand written notes would both be fine. Or the ones you do on computer with forms from an office supply store

Mary and John Smith invite you to join them as their marriage is blessed at St. Mary Catholic Church at 2:00 pm on June 4, 2006.

If you are inviting people who don’t know you as well, no more explanation is needed.

Thank you. We want it simple and only family and close friends are invited. This sounds appropriate to me.

I would pick out some nice paper at the store (you know, a box of stationery) and handwrite:

"Dear Ned, Todd and Rod,

"Marge and I (or Homer and I) are convalidating our marriage on May 2st, 2 PM, at Our Lady of Responsibiity Church, 2222 Boogie-Woogie Avenue. There will be a small reception after in the parish hall. We would be very pleased if you could attend.

Sincerely,

Homer"
