We went through this in February 2009. I wore a knee length dress that had a navy blue and white floral pattern on it. I actually wore the same dress this past Easter for my confirmation. I’d say the sundered you have with a light sweater or shawl would be perfect. We already had a big wedding in 1998 but it was in the Methodist church that I grew up in.
As far as money goes, I believe we gave our priest either $50 or $100. I know we put it in a card in cash because we weren’t sure if we should make a check out to him personally or to the church. We figured we’d just do cash and then he could do with the money as he pleased.
