My catholic friend told me he has been church shopping for a year or so.

For the last 9 months he has settled at a non-denominational church. He said it doesn’t feel right (there is a rock band) but his wife likes it and there are programs for his kids.

He confided in me because he knew I was devoutly Catholic and I loved the Church.

Back in the day (2001) – I loved to listen to conversion stories. Conversion stories played a big part in igniting my fire for the Lord and my love of the Catholic Church. I bought cassette copies of Rosalind Moss, Scott Hahn, John Corapi, jimmy Akin and Steven Ray.

Their witness caused a burning in my heart for the church.

I think my friend would benefit from conversion stories.

What are the latest conversion stories on MP3? Any good ones to recommend?

If you go online to Lighthouse Catholic media, or St. Joseph Communications, they have a bunch of conversion stories on cd, maybe mp3 I’m not 100% sure on that one, but I know they have tons of conversions stories. I think even one from a mega Church pastor.

Sorry I couldn’t be more specific. :o

But if you’re friend is ok watching a DVD, I really enjoyed Tim Staples conversion story. I think he would get a lot out of it:thumbsup: You can get it at Catholic Answers.

You should check out the web site for the Institute of Catholic culture. They have a bunch of free mp3 downloads on a variety of Catholic subjects. The “ Kingdom of the Cults: Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons & Seventh Day Adventists” audio mp3 download has a conversion story from a guy who was Mormon. They also have stories about the conversion of saints like St. Josephine Bakhita and other things you might find useful. I love their web site!

We have a ‘special needs’ 10 yr old grandson who cannot speak or walk unassisted. He has had epilepsy and was not diagnosed until he was 3 yrs old. Anyway…needless to say this was a very difficult thing for my son-in-law who was never brought up in any religion or baptised in any faith. He loved our daughter and respected her so much that he attended Mass with her on Sundays pretty regularly in the beginnning years of the marriage. Well, after Xavier was born and did not progress everyone knew something was very wrong with him but the docs just couldn’t put a diagnosis on it. Everyone just kept researching and kept looking for a solution. Xavier eventually was diagnosed and with all of his medical problems his medical coverage was $1million total. By the time he was 3 his use of his coverage was already up to $350K and our son-in-law was so afraid they would run out of coverage and joined the Army! Keep in mind, this is during the Iraq war and a really dangerous time to be going into the service. As it turned out, Xavier kept his daddy safe and the Army would not send his daddy overseas because Xavier was too medically fragile. Xavier ended up with major brain surgery within the next 2 yrs of his dad joining the military. Xavier is truly a little angel in our midst and our daughter asked Make A Wish to send them to Rome to have Xavier blessed by Pope Benedict XVI. That took almost 4 years to be granted and it happened last February 8th. We have a picture of Xavier and his dad holding him up to Pope Benedict as he caressed Xavier’s head and kissed him. Our daughter insisted that her ‘non-baptised’ husband take Xavier up to receive the blessing. That blessing changed Xavier’s dad’s life. He entered into the Catholic Church this past Easter. After 15 yrs of marriage, I would say that, that is a Miracle! And there is hope for anyone who has a heart that can be open to the love of God. We have been blessed beyond measure. Xavier still is our ‘special boy’ but one who truly brings others to Christ!

That is a great story! You and your family are in my prayers.
