I am a recent revert and while we had some serious problems before, my newfound faith has also seemed to push it more.

Anyone else? How did you deal with it when only one half of the couple converts/reverts?

When one is unequally yoked. You affirm your love for your spouse.ICorinthians 13:10 down to love never fails. Ephesians 6 maybe. One of the chapters near the end that says the husband will love the wife even to lay his life down for her…Talks of wife’s actions in marriage.=respect husband. In Genesis when we are kicked out of Eden a wife is to desire husband. Funny. We are to desire and respect husband. It never says to love husband. But husband is to seriously love wife. So, Make sure she is happy. Tell her you are on a special journey w God. You hope one day she will join you because you miss her. Then, go to church. You could make dates for RCIA classes. Go to dinner than class. Just don’t nag her. Say," Is there anything else I can do for you before I leave. Bring her flowers the same day. etc.
Divine Mercy Prayer for conversion of souls" Oh Holy Blood and Holy Water that gushed forth from the side of your Holy, Beloved Son, Jesus, I pray for the soul of my wife. Holy Spirit pull on her heart strings to join me as I begin my relationship w God. in Jesus name Amen. Holy Spirit part is me.
My husband stopped going after priest scandals.

Joyfully, I rejoice w you on your new journey and for the day your wife and family joins you. 🙂

You might find it helpful to read Scott Hahn’s book Rome Sweet Home, which tells of his conversion and how miserable it made his wife. She converted also later on, but it was a difficult journey for them. It tells both of their points of view.

I know several couples who have experienced this. I witnessed that time is a great healer. I know that is little help, but it just seems it takes time for the other spouse to either gain a comfort level with the Faith or convert themselves. I will pray for you.

Hi,
Blossoming is a female sounding word. Forgive me for confusing the sexes. Leave it to the male to drag feet. Pray for my husband as I pray for yours. Mine is 73yo on oxygen. I need to increase my passion in his salvation prayers. The Divine Chaplet every day. I swear I have ADD. Concentrating on long prayers is hard. Onward Christian shoulders. But, Ephesians chapter 4 to Chapter 6. You don’t need to read 6. In fact, I gave you more than you need in husband and wife relationship. But, reading about being the light in the darkness. Staying away from sin. There were some uplifting sentences in between exhortations.
God is with you. Do ask him if there is anything you can do for him before you leave and how you miss him.
in Christ’s love,

I will pray for your husband today. I hope his health is well. I get distracted too. I find I do well with a Video of the Rosary or Divine Mercy.

Thanks for the Scripture rec as well. :signofcross:
