I converted a few years ago, from the Southern Baptist tradition, with my wife and two girls. I am struggling getting everyone to go with me to reconciliation and mass. My youngest loves going with me, but it is a struggle to get the other two to join us. My prayer is that they will see the fullness of the truth in the Catholic Church and for them to have a desire to join me and my 10 year old. I am worried about pressing them too hard as it may sour them completely on the faith; but I also feel guilty for not getting them to go oth me. Any other converts have this struggle? Any advice?

You can set an example, make it a fun outing “Saturday is Confession then we are going out for ice cream sundaes!”

Formed.Org has a wonderful series called “Forgiven”. If your parish does not give you a free access to Formed, you can do a trial and then it costs about the same as NetFlix. Well worth watching together as a family.

In the end, how often an adult goes to Confession is really up to them. For kids, make the offer frequently, and NEVER every ask them about what they confessed or why they want to go.
