Balaam wasn’t prophet of the year, but he wasn’t the first one to try to get out of doing his job.Yes, I didn’t think Job was a prophet (one would think he’d have seen his own misfortune coming eh?). That was a joke by the way!
Balaam?
Though I did read one comment that claimed that Balaam’s father and Job were “prophets,” but another claimed that Job was a “saint of the Gentiles” in rabbinical literature.
Clearly Balaam was not the positive or good prophet that Moses, Elijah, or Elisha was, correct?
Sorry no offence to anyone but I couldn’t resist.Ask yourself which is the greater God. One who makes you a slave or one who loves you and makes you a son? The Christian understanding of God far exceeds islam. Jesus was more then a prophet. He is God himself in the flesh who shows us how much God loves us and what destiny he wants for us. Not some virgins and rivers of wine, a hedonists vision. But rather the joy of relating to the Creator of the universe as his child.
Yes.Sorry no offence to anyone but I couldn’t resist.
also be sure to ask yourself which is the greater God. one who is all knowing, all powerfull, ever living. or one who is humiliated by his creation, dragged through the streets, beaten and crusified
Ultimately, that’s why God’s such a being of love - to do all that for us!also be sure to ask yourself which is the greater God. one who is all knowing, all powerfull, ever living. or one who is humiliated by his creation, dragged through the streets, beaten and crusified
It’s a different understanding for Moslems. For them, being more powerful and not helping others is what counts. That’s why many have trouble admitting guilt, and prefer the easy way of blaming others for their actions.Yes.
Not only is God all knowing, all powerfull, ever living, he is LOVE.
If you do not “understand” (not the correct word) love, you will not understand Christ’s passion.
that sounds more like Christian dogma. “Nope i can’t be responsible for my own sins, I’ll just let the poor man on the cross take that burden for me”, because he loves me so much I don’t have to work, I just Believe. That’s why many have trouble admitting guilt, and prefer the easy way of blaming others for their actions.
not for this guyFor them, being more powerful and not helping others is what counts.
LOL we’re all Christians here (at least the ones you’re trying to proselytize) and we of all people would know that this isn’t even Christian dogma, so who do you really think you’re fooling?that sounds more like Christian dogma. “Nope i can’t be responsible for my own sins, I’ll just let the poor man on the cross take that burden for me”, because he loves me so much I don’t have to work, I just Believe.
