Converts: How have you become closer with Jesus since becoming Catholic?

Indeed, my homedecoration has changed considerably, as the books on my shelves

AND as richardwy writes, I try to stick to the truth and be a help to those around me, especially my family, who has all my life been troublesome to me - and is, by large and largen no more troublesome now!

It seems, I don’t appreciate everything that my conversion has brought with it - going to work on being more thankful

In my own life, my faith in Christ was saved! I was slowly starving to death in my protestant faith, and then I found catholicism. There is actually freedom in it! I am free to use all my senses to worship Gd instead of feeling guilty for looking at a picture when I would pray. I felt free to use my sight to look at statues to keep my focus in prayer. I felt free to be able to speak to people (namely women) in prayer, and know that at least someone knew how I felt. Even thugh I knew Christ knew, it is more comfort to know that I could whine at Mary, and I knew simply because she was a woman, she’d understand, even if she couldn’t answer me lol. Also there is no words that could explain my experience at first communion. Basically, for the first time in my life, even though it was for a split second, I felt spiritually full.

For anyone hesitant to jump in, my advice is to recognize why you are hesitant, but work psat it. There is richness, fullness, and and bone shattering TRUTH in the catholic church.
