Hi all… I am in need of some advice. I have a good friend who is a non-practicing Christian, who is married to his wife (an agnostic), and they have two wonderful kids (a two year old and 6-ish month-old). My wife and I just recently discovered that his wife and their two kids are not baptized. My friend and his wife are accepting of our beliefs but I am not sure if they would take it as me trying to push my beliefs on them. My question is how can I bring up the topic of getting them all baptized without jepardizing our friendship? Also, would I be morally remiss if I did not bring up my concerns?

Thanks for any advice you could provide.

I do not think that you should approach the subject of baptism first. First is the going back to Church and of her baptim. Only then you may talk about the children.

I do not think that is shreads the friendship if you talk about it. The best is to talk straight away. If you see that they do not like, push forward the retreat strategy that you have prepared before hand.

Sometimes it is better to approach like a joke: “Do you know what? I have dreamt tonight that you all became catholics and you went to mass and we went to the baptism of your son and we had a big feast ! Funny, no?”

Or something better than this…
