Hi, I was planning to go to confession later but my town is imposing restrictions that only those who are 21 and above are allowed to go out.

Will it be a sin if I continue to go out?
Thank you

Allowed to go out when? After a certain hour?
You mean that children can’t go out? Not even with parents?

Are you in the US? Is your town a hot spot?

I’m not doubting you, and I’m not trying to pry, but I think you somehow skipped a couple of ‘steps’ that you just took for granted that we ‘knew’ or something, because this doesn’t make sense. Most places in the US for heavens’ sake the kids who are 18-22, i.e. college, are going back to college, and younger kids are heading back to school, but a 20 year old ‘can’t go out?”

Edit to add: If you are in another country, or even in the US in a hot spot, and all ‘under 21s’ are on total lockdown after a certain time, you could call your priest and see if he is available for an appointment for confession at a time that you CAN be out. Otherwise, if you can’t get out, you can’t. Obey the law and wait patiently.

Obey the laws of your country. Speak to your priest, if this is the law in your land, your Diocese has made provisions.

It would seem to be an extraordinary burden that is unjustified in practically all cases to prevent people from “going out”… especially to make use of Confession.

But be prudent. And get lawful permission if you can. Or invite Father to come to you.

I will pray for you! Where on earth do you live?! I’m so sorry you’re stuck at home!! Can the priest travel to you?? Undoubtedly he is over 21…
